I just sent in my entry form for the snore 250, it's my first snore race and I was wondering if there was a pit support group "mag7---checkers ---baja pits" or some other group that support's snore race's. I don't have a chase team together yet and thought it might be better to pay a pit support team for this race. Second question is, will 30 gallons of fuel be enough for 210 miles on this course, I know thats a tough question with out knowing my car weight, engine build etc. This is only my second race, score 250 in March was my first race so I'am a real newbie at this---any information I can get would be helpfull. P.S. If I passed Score tech with out any trouble will I have any problems passing snore tech. Thanks for any helpful info. I can get. Looking forward to racing with some of the c11c racer's.

30 gllons should get you a safe 240 miles if you use 8 miles to the gallon theory. i believe there is some pits you can use check the snore site or maybe Ed can chime in? Great your racing, I met you at San Felipe, I was the guy that started in Erics car.....Find us and well buy you a beer at the race. Robert

FWIW, we average about 9 mph using race fuel, a 10:1 compression engine and a 15 gallon fuel cell, which I think only holds 12 once you factor in the bladder and that spongy stuff. So we budget for 6 mpg and always come home with leftover fuel.
It really depends on the course. If it's fast, you're closer to 9 mpg. If it's silty, it creeps toward 6 mpg. Notice how I used "toward" instead of "towards", because the S is unnecessary. |

Do you guys know what the pit spacing will be? I have never raced in that area. What is the course normally looking like compared to plaster city?

Looking forward to meeting some of the c11c racers at the SNORE 250---look's like at least 6 entries in class 11. I have not raced with SNORE before and after reviewing there rules I noticed that they require 2 fire extinguisher's and one must be mounted on the outside of the race vehicle----where would the one on the outside of the vehicle be mounted????? Are there any other rules that are different from SCORE that I need to know about? Thanks for all the help---still learning!!

On the class 11 you just need to mount a fire extinguisher somewhere it can be reached from outside. In a window, generally.

Here is the question for the exterior fire extinguisher, If you run all your windows,
In a roll over, (Barrel Roll) which part of the car does not get damaged, (That is where it should be Mounted) Then run Fire extingiuisher arrow signs all over the car pointing to them - LOL |

Couldn't you just use one of those stickers that says "In case of fire, break glass"?

Lol - then you would need to mount a glass breaker or a hammer on the side of the car! - lol
