MINT Update.

The blue strobe light will be required by all SNORE Class 11's (a.k.a. Stock Bugs). Some clarifcation was passed on to me by the Race Director that this light is required as a replacement to the blue light that the other classes run. You do not have to use both. The amber light is still required even with the strobe.

It looks like 300 miles again this year for the Class 11's. This will be confirmed and posted on March 4th. It has been said that this is a very rough/technical course and someone suggested 200 miles for Class 11 (not me). As of 10 minutes ago, the email I got said \"leaning towards 300\".

I know Robert wants to go 500 but it will be determined by the RD.

Before you say anything about the lights Dave, I know, I know.

1000 MILES!!!!! Oh, sorry, where am I? 300 is good, I'm actually good with whatever. Where and how do we mount the blue time tracker thing? Can it be inside or does it have to be outside so the signal reads it? Can we get the light there, or do we have to get it from somewhere before? thanks

Thanks for bringing up the tansponder. They are mandatory and the will have them for sale at sign-up for $80. I usually mount mine on the cage inside the car above the drivers mirror. A couple of zip-ties and a hose clamp hold it fine.

The blue strobes might be availble at tech but I would recommend getting it prior to then. I'll double check, if I remember correctly SNORE did specify a certain part # for the light and they were from Kartek.

I wont give a hard time about the light, but will say it is really expensive and you can only buy it from 1 single place that I would not buy a lite tab or anything else from=stupid!!!!Sorry Ed, I know it is not your doing, things like this bother me because this place only charges one price, FULL PRICE!!!. As long as I have done this gets me a very large discount at ORW and Race Ready products, I dont like spending a red cent at Kar teck. At least we dont have to run 2 blue lights like I have on the other car.

When the decision was made last year on the specific Kartek light and part number it was so we would have no issue's with people showing up with hokey lights that don't serve the intended purpose.
