Many of you will remember my presence and post about our class 11 build up. I thought, where better to post updates then the new class 11 specific forums! I said the front end would get done and it is....mostly. Just need shocks and a brake line tubing bender. Check out the pics. All new everything! bearings, seals, brakes, wheel cylinders, mastercylinder, tierod ends, balljoints, steering box, trailing arm bushing, limit stops, torsion leafs, etc. We will tear down the rear suspension this weekend! Cheers.

I told you those dudes were something. It's like as soon as you walk through those gates you are transported to the back woods of Arkansas.

LOL. that's totally true. It was comedy when we got there. A guy that didn't know what I was talking about said that, "John is in the office, let me get him." and he proceeded to walk to a white van parked there and opened the sliding door to reveal John taking a nap in the van. I guess that's the office....LOL. Cool guys though. Next time I'm gonna barter a bit cuz they charged us $60 for those spring plates and that was too much in my opinion. I mentioned i knew you and jeremy and then he was talking it up with me for a bit. Cool guys. Great resource.
Do I need new spring plate retainers????mine don't fit since they are made for the single plate. Is yours wider in the plate or is it deeper in the cast area where the bushing goes???? Maybe I should make a spacer. A pic looking up or down on the spring plate would help too. thanks guys. |

He probabbly charged you more after you told him you knew us. They are a little steep so we just gave them the old starving class 11 racer story and they hoked it up pretty good.

Lookin good dude.
Do you think its a good idea to tie the flexible brake lines to the tie rods?? They're not gonna get pulled off when it goes through its travel? Might have to do that to my bug as they look very vulnerable hanging down as they are now.. Keep it up |

Actually. I've cycled the suspension while having it turned both directions without any problems. Following the tierod is good since it follows the wheel.
We went with the braided lines for abraision resistence and keeping them away from rocks and roots should help a lot too! |
