Mace,
What did you wind up doing about the diagonal bar? You cut out the standard one from the rear down hoop to put your spare in there a long time ago. You were earlier worried about lack of room for it in the B pillar hoop. I haven't seen it in any of your later posts.
It HAS to be there in one of the 2 places!!!!...with ANY organizations rules. Some Tech guys might never notice it. But then there are the REAL Tech Inspectors who also check that all joints are fully welded. Issues like this are one of the reasons I registered on the site yesterday.

Good catch. And all of the joints are fully welded.

I added a diagonal bar.

And some gussets to the main halo

Yes sir, I am going to bolt it down, just have not gotten around to it yet.

I have not found any specs on exactly how to do that so I am planning on just using some 3/16" steel strapping with ~ 4x4" dimensions and using 4 bolts per side (2 on the body and 2 on the sunroof)

That'll keep us happy. Both the diagonal and the roof straps.

Insulate the terminals on the battery and make sure the belts have double adjusters ("D-Rings" as a lot of people erroneously call them).

I can't Tech a car online, but if I see anything in photos or words which looks wrong, I'll try to give you a heads-up.

Got a link to the terminal insulators?

Got a set of brand new Harnesses and 4 more "D" (who the hell came up with that description!) rings for the shoulder belts already. Just making sure that I am not going to weld any more before I put them in :)

Thanks!

Yep!
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Electrical_tape

I have always hated that term in this usage. "3-Bar Adjuster" is the correct term as taught to me by my father who inspected them for the Dep't of Defense in the 60s and re-affirmed by Jim Deist in the 70s. A "D-ring" is what is used to fasten your helmet straps. Whoever started using the term "D-Ring" for belt adjusters must have not had their helmet properly secured before they got on the "short bus" in the morning.
