Are all ball joint front ends the same regardless of year? I read the early spindle snouts may be smaller, but are the front beams, arms, tie rods, steering boxes all the same?

Are rear trailing arms the same regardless of year?

Sorry if this question has already been answered. I searched but didn't find it. My goal is to start rounding up components & spare parts.

Early tierod ends are smaller (66-67) and thus the steering arms on early spindles and pitman arms are too.

So does that mean front & rear components are interchangeable from 1969 and later?

Find a good VW parts catalog. The years will be listed for each part number.
Also, go to the SNORE racing site and download the class rules for Stock Bug. It is about 95 percent the same as SCORE's rules and free. Most of your questions can be answered with those rules in hand.

Thanks. Got the SNORE rules. Didn't think about a VW catalog. I figured most of the stuff is picked up from junk yards and garage sales.
