Does anyone have any pictures on how to put on king kong adjusters with the body on?

We tore the spline out of the torsion housing and broke a spring plate at the same time during the lone kid 500 race...So, I guess its time to move up to the big stuff!

Any help would be appreciated..

thanks
Scott

Sorry to hear that. What color car was yours? We were out there in car #1138, the red and black colored car.

Good luck on the repair!

Scott take a saws all and cut the center out right at the seam next to the horn, go all the way threw both sides and stop about an inch or so after going threw both sides. After that it will be pretty obvios what has to be removed. Next trim the adjuster ends to fit, after doing that put it into its place then mark aroung the front of the adjuster on the metal that is still there and cut it to shape. When you go to put the adjuster in tilt the front up past level but not to high to interfear with the shifter. Be sure to re enforce the front of the adjuster or else it will rip out. You can weld a peice of one inch tubing under the very front that welds to the sides of the inside of the tunnel on each side. Any questions just ask---Dave
