I picked up a Bugpack oil cooler today at the Pomona swap meet and want to know if I still have to run the cooler inside the shroud or if there's a way to bypass it. I would imagine the cylinders behind the cooler would benefit from that thing not being there.

Got an oil cooler with a fan and I’m ready to mount it in the car! My question is, If I mount it high on the roll cage will I have a problem with oil draining back down to the engine after I shut it off? (gravity) Or will the motor starve itself while trying to pump oil up to the cooler? What I’m asking, Is there a special way to mount it,to keep oil in the cooler
all the time? I won't mount it until I'm sure it will be ok! Thanks!

Ours drains back into the engine during shut down, but refills up on starting. No problems. With the remote filter, hose line lenghts plus cooler, the engine takes right under 4.5 quarts for an oil change.

I know I’m probably stirring the pot here, but has anybody read the VORRA rule book on class 11?
I was just comparing VORRA to SNORE and noticed some differences! SNORE and SCORE are
Almost identical! However VORRA’s rule book reads: Under Crankshaft: Power pulleys are not allowed! and
Under Heads: Combustion chamber volume may not be smaller than 42cc, 7.5:1 is the highest Compression ratio
allowed. Now, I don’t know about you guys, but I’m building my car to SNORE specs, and I already have a power
pulley and my compression is a lot more then 7.5:1 and I don’t want to change a thing! But I do want to try some of
their races someday! Maybe some of you guy’s with some pull could bring this to their attention!
Like making the rules for class 11 read the same for all the promoters? What do you coalition guys think?

This is where I quote from the great Eric Solorzano and say that our car is "bone stock."

Actually, I'll have our guys look at the VORRA rules and get VORRA's take on it.
Dirt is for racing. Asphalt is just for getting there.

You certainly will NEVER get me up there with dumb rules like that. The rules should mirror everywhere
