I read that as of Jan 1, 2007 latest rage roll cages are no longer legal. My car is about 75% complete with the latest rage cage. Is the car still going to be legal? Do I need to cut the cage out and start over? Are they going to honor the purchase date and grandfather this ruling in? Any information would be greatly appreciated and helpful.

You better contact Bill Savage and ask him directly. He is the SCORE Tech contact. His contact number is 760-599-1013. If not look at the other roll cage post above in the off-road racing section and contact Dennis Sletten. Unless you can get your car to Bill prior to the closing date of the inspection and get it tagged, it'll be worthless.

Thanks for the information Brian. I am not much of a SCORE racer... I race locally with MDR, MORE and VORRA. I wasn't sure if they were adopting this rule or not... What is the SCORE inspection period? I have never heard of that. Does that apply solely to the individuals racing with SCORE????
Thanks
Scott

VORRA requires the New SCORE rules for new cars, old car, old rules as far as roll cage construction.
You will need a VORRA inspection at tech or a current SCORE inspection seal.

I doubt if VORRA's tech would catch you with a mild steel cage. If the welds look good it would probably pass from my observations. That said, When are you planning on doing a Vorra race? Lets plan on a joint pit and chase truck.

How do I contact you to make a Score legal roll cage? I am in Las Vegas and can have our company repair shop install it for me.
Thanks,
