Tried to get the SCORE folks to send me a rule book now, but they say they are too busy preparing for the 250. Can one use fiberglass body panels anywhere for Class 11. My guess is no, but I am looking for the right vehicle to start my build with and I am finding some with fiberglass front and rear pieces. Thanks.

Do we trim fenders to prevent tire rub, and don't talk about it? or can it be done legally?

No triming is allowed. The bead can be flattened or add up to a 1/4\" steel rod to the lip. Most people take the headliner supports, (spring steel) and use those to re-enforce the lip when they pound them down flat with a five pound sledge hammer.

We bought some 4' x 1/4\" rods at Home Depot and reinforced our original fenders. They lasted for 13 races until they split where the seam was. The new fenders have a little longer rods and have held up a little better even with all the on course rubbing they've received.
