TOPIC: How long does prep take you

How long does prep take you 2 years ago #11661

How many hours do you typically spend prepping your car for each race? I know there are a lot of factors depending on what breaks but if you averaged it out what would your guess be?

Borrego Boy spends hours in the bathroom. Hours! I have never seen someone carry so many hair products to a race.
Dirt is for racing. Asphalt is just for getting there.

Engine maintance takes a couple of hours, cv's takes a couple too. Then it's adjusting brakes, and making sure everything is tight. Vacuum out the seats and floor. Whole time the battery is charging on the trickle.

Fixing damage/broken stuff from the last race is the variable. Anything from an engine swap to putting on a new tire?

And then yes, I do spend a lot of time fixing my hair before any event.....
