We... I mean Dave, uses a compu-fire that has been in the car for 3 years now with absolutely no problems with the compu-fire coil as well. Stay away from the cheaper mag-fire units as they have failed me. Would like to step up to the compu-fire dis9 but every time I'm ready to spend the $200, somthing else more important for the car is needed. Hope this helps.

In my opinion nothing beats the good old reliable Bosch blue coil. It is tried and true.

Compufire and a blue coil. Standard stuff and it's not too expensive to make a spare that would be nice too!

Pertronix! They sponsor me and I love the new billet distributor and Flame thrower II. No problems so far.....

Blue coil and compufire, very proven and reliable. Just make sure the red wire goes to pos or you will instintly burn it up. Only take turning on the ignition and \"POOF\" its gone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Found that out the hard way when I installed one in my first buggy years ago.
