What length axles are the people who have converted to the side mount shocks using? Is it necessary to run slightly longer axles due to the increased droop? I know stock is 16 1/4\" and that Sway a way sells 16 1/2\" as well as 16 3/4\". Any insight would be appreciated. Thanks.

16 1/4 is what I run, any longer you will start running into trouble like screwing up the ends of the axel to the point of not being able to get the cv off. The splines are longer than stock and you are not running any longer arms, That is the problem 1600 cars run into. Your arms will not drop far enough to need longer axels. Stock you have to mesure from snap ring to snap ring, not overall length. which is in the hi 15in so the sway away you will get will be a tad bit longer with the 16 1/4 being snap ring to snap ring on the inside of each. Hope this helps

Stock length here. But I haven't run it. During mockup it was OK when level and during full droop I still had about 1/4\" play with snaprings in place.
