Picked up the video and am going to attempt a rebuild on a type 1 tranny.

I'll document it on here. Looks like about $250 worth of tools that I do not currently have..

I am still contemplating attempting to race the midnight race..
A lot will depend on if I get the motor and tranny rolling.. I think the car has a \"freeway flyer\" right now :(

Check out Long Enterprises 2 CDs. You do need some tools: special wrenches, a shift fork jig, a press, bearing spreader, etc. I'm going to build our first transmission and if it works I'll consider myself a transmission builder, if it blows up, I will sell the tools.....Same with the motor! hahahahahah.

With the IRS tranny you really only need the one Video. The second Video is more for the bus tranny anyway..
