What is the average / recommended degree of angle on the type 2 CV joints?

The research I have done on the internet says between 16 to 18 and mine are currently at 20. Which I think is too much. What do you think?

thanks
Scott

Blindchickenracing.com's site says 17 degrees. I just checked ours and at full stop (normal ride height), and we set at 20 degrees.

I would say Blindchickenracing.com could not be more WRONG, and should not post things they have no idea about!!!The number will suprize you, but I am not inclined to tell everybody the magic number, some I will, some can figure it out for themselfs like I did 29 years ago!!!!

Ha! Dave, I went to the notes we took when you were helping us with the trans in Primm. I have the magic number!

We did cycle the joints and found them not binding at twenty degrees.

Thanks for the 20 degree info Jeff.. Are you going to Yerington in Sept? We're going to try depending on the SNORE race goes. Gotta spend all that prize money somewhere... other than the bar!

Thanks
