I know that the class cage is 1,500 weld it yourself kit ,but what about the 5/1600 whats the price on that.

Yeah we can do either mild steel or chromoly. I beleive my dad was doing the 5/16 cages for 1500/mild steel 2500/chromoly. Theres a difference in the front and rear part of the cage for the 5/16 thats all.

1.5\"x0.095\" seamless 4130 is $4.50/foot at tube supply in El Cajon, CA.....

My next car is going to be ~$750 for all the tubing to do the cage and skid plate frame.

That is not including my labor to bend, fit, notch, etc. So, that deal sounds pretty fair! Take the guess work out of it.

Also, you don't need a tube bender and if you make a mistake bending a twenty foot tube your not out the $100.00.
BTW, we are paying abouy $8.00 a foot here for the same tubing.

Definately a good point also, probably spend about the same amount if you don't know exactly what you're doing and don't have the right tools or can't borrow them. I've always thought the 11 bros. car was well put together and thoughtout so I'm sure the kit will be a good deal for someone that is building their first car. I have a lot of crazy ideas about this next cage so I'm going to do it all myself, plus, I like notching tubes.........
