Has anyone used HDPE as a slider for their skid plates?? Even a thin veneer would take some of the \"hit\" out of the rocks and would make everything much quieter without much of any weight gain.

Seems like a thinner Steel plate could be used to protect the engine..

It is a tale
Told by an idiot, full of sound and fury,
Signifying nothing.

I have HDPE in my Ranger.
I say used Aluminum, it will protect much better because it will absorbe the damage.
