OK, we are getting ready for our first race. I feel like throwing up! What tire pressure do you guys run with the BFG's?

Jeff take a big deep breath. OK its all better know. We run the BFGs at about 3 pounds under what it showes. Are you running tubes. The tubes will let you run a little softer tire and it keeps from popping a bead. Best of luck. Keep us posted how its going. I know your busy. The race is won in the shop. Dennis

Yes, we have tubes so will figure out a good pressure.

We also run tubes and generally run our tires @ 28 psi. This might be a little high but in our expierience the only flats we have ever had have been a result of a bent rim. The higher pressure helps keep rocks and bumps from compressing the tires as much and doing damage to the rim. If we are running a course that has few rocks( like a sandy course) then we will run slightly lower pressure. If the course is higher speed and not alot of sand/loose material we might pump the pressure up a few lbs to save wear on the tires and more protection for the rim as we woill be hitting bumps and rocks at a higher rate of speed. There is no magic number as alot can depend on your driving style and personal preference.

Same here, we run maxxis 753 235's at 28 lbs with tubes and don't have problems in the washes, soft stuff or rough. sometimes in the sand,just backing off the power a little the tires tend not to dig and float through even at this pressure. Good Luck ! Allen :evil:
