The Dirt Sports project elf car used BFG 7.00x15LT 6 ply super traction mud tires--does any one have experience with these tires or know where to get them. They look a lot like the yokohama 7.00x15. Does anyone run BFG mud terrain or just All terrain. New to class 11 --- thanks for any information I can get.

BFG 7.00x15LT is a larger tire and wont fit on a stock bug

Quite a few run BFG All-terrain tires. You can sign up for their sponsorship program. Discounts on tires only and at the races the BFG Trailers go to, you will get free support and access to thier radio relay system.
Maxis has a tire program as well, not sure about Yokohama.

I run yokohama but have 4 of the BFG in question and have used them in the past. 99 percent of the class 11 racers use a smaller tire than I do but I would never go down in size even on a short course race like BAP. Problem with BFG 700-15lt is you get one type this time, need more so go order more and you end up with another tire all together some not even made by BFG as you will not find one thing on the tire linking it to BFG. There is nothing wrong with a BFG All terrains, other than a weak side wall, the mud terrain I personally would stay away from as it is not a great choice for sand, you will find them to suck up a lot of HP unless you run a real small 205 75 15 which in my opinion would not be great for a dezert race.

im having a hard time getting the 700x15 in this area, where do u guys buy them?
