hello everyone , I just finished putting my bug together for my trip this Friday to Mulege Baja Sur , but I ran into a big problem the front brakes are getting stuck and I am having trouble running the car the car is skidding and it will not drive , when I jack up the car the tires turn fine its only when I try to drive it that the front brakes get stuck , I also bleed the brakes but the brake pedal is still going half way in and docent feel right.

Any info will help I really need advice because I will be leaving friday night. Thanks

Check the brake hoses, as sometimes the inside lining of the hoses will deteriorate & not alow the fluid to return to the master cyl. after the brakes have been applied & released

If you put wheel studs they can hit the shoes under load, or if you have to long of lug nut it can also hit under load

I had a problem several years ago that was similar to yours. The plunger rod from the pedal assymbly to the master cylinder was too tight (no slack)Might want to check it. I have had the best luck bleeding the longest lines first(rears) then bleed the fronts. Last resort replace wheel cylinders.
