Well I love the way my 63 looks low(who am I kidding?it's only low by class 11 standards)
But its getting a bit tiresome.Since I've got a 62 that's non opped I'll roll that one low
and give freddy the nosebleed thing.
Probly not a race car or anything but more a "when there's an earthquake I can still drive"
car.

Welcome!

I am beginning to realize that following the class 11 rulebook keeps costs way down, at least half of the things I want to change are not allowed (steering shaft, pedal assembly, etc).

Just throwing that out there.

willing but fiscally incapable of racing at this stage of the game....if it weren't
for a welder and dubs being so easy to change around I'd be stuck with a lowered car

I was told by a very well known racer in the Nascar circuit that racing has never been cheaper than now. But it still takes every penny you have!

Which is a good thing. Anything you change out in a VW from stock to aftermarket, you actually waste money on an item that is not as strong or reliable than the factory VW part. There is no other production vehicle in the world in stock form that is as tough as the VW. Thats what makes these cars so great, on or offroad.

OH I agree!

I guess what I was getting at is if you follow the rulebook you can build something good without getting sidetracked on other, more expensive details.
