I have an UMP aircleaner (4\" intake, I know I know, excessive, but it was free :D ) that I am mounting on the inside of the cab under my spare. What I can't seem to grasp is how to make the 3\" intake tube not hit the stock hinge.. If I could run \"hood\" pins instead of the Question shaped brackets I'd be golden. But The rules state that you must use the stock hinges.

I know Dave lowered his motor in relation to the chassis, but what did everyone else do to fit the intake ducting?? I'll have to look and see if I can manage to drill a hole in the firewall in the center and mount the aircleaner sideways..

You don't say if you are using the UMP carb. adapter or not ----if you are it will fit if you cut the tube coming out of the bottom of the UMP box very short about the width of a hose clamp so when the box is attached to he carb. the 2 hose clamps almost touch. Even then it is very tight I had to notch the ? bracket a little to make it work. I will try to send a picture with this if I can get it to work.

Nope, not the UMP carb adapter, just a 90* Silicone 2\" to 3\" Elbow.

I've got the elbow trimmed down and it looks like it will barely fit. May have to attatch the intake ducting directly to the hinge bracket tho..

We drilled our pass through hole on the bottom of the package tray corner, as low and to the outside as possible, it fits through there and our cage only allows it to go right there anyway, along with the skid plate support it's all a very tight (I mean planned out) fit.
