hey guys

I have another tech question I have just bought my engine block whit hydraulic lifters and I want to know if I can use my old pushrod’s and rockers or if the length of them has to be changed by putting shims on the bottom of the rockers or get custom length pushrod's or does any of you guys know how to get the correct valve geometry your help will be apreciated<br><br>Post edited by: Alex77, at: 2006/12/27 05:04

don't know if you've figured this out already but the valve stem height is what you should be looking at, it needs to be the same due to valve seating. if the lifters are longer then the valve height will be shorter and if the lifters are shorter the valve height will be longer. youd have to look up the proper valve height and go from there, its measure from the top of the valve to the valve spring pad on the cylinder head.
