Where do you go to pass tech? Is it right before the race each year or can certain shops pass you for tech anytime in the year? 2010 will be my first race and i have a ways to go on the beetle but i would rather know sooner rather than later.

Howdi Mike, an welcome to Class 11 racing. Typically, tech/contingency is prior to each race. In the case of a 1st time new build, I'd suggest having the car tech'd weeks before the race. That way any unforseen discrepancies can be resolved. It must be tech'd by the sanctioning body of whatever race that you plan to run. Good Luck on your build!

Yokohama 700-15, non better for a class 11 in my opinion as far as cam you can run any grind you like

what else is legal for the front beam?i have a beam that some idiot before me welded some brackets onto for a tow bar, now i was going to grind those off, but some of it maybe left there, would that break any rules?
