how are you guys attaching the quick disconnects to the stock column? My splined section is over 3/4 of an inch. Did you turn the stock column down slightly?

i dont think a quick disconnect is legal in class 11

That is correct, it is not legal in class 11 being you are required to use the stock VW steering colume ONLY!!! Any steering wheel can be used, but all the rest has to be stock VW

what's the difference between a splined adapter and a weld on adapter??

Other than safety.. How could a removable steering wheel be a benefit?

This is not making any sense to me..

Our first car and a lot of cars have quick releases. They are NOT legal. You have to use the stock column. Use an adapter from GRANT. Then you can install a 3 bolt style wheel.

In my opinion a stock column is not as safe as a one piece solid built column.

In my opinion, a stock column is much safer as it has the built in crumple zone to prevent it from becoming a spear right into your chest.

the disconnect is just an adapter..

why is that illegal?
