Is it normal to have a small leak where the push rod tubes meet with the case? My firsta race is coming up and I got this oil leak should I worry about it or just check the oil often during race and baby it?

On an old worn tired motor yes. Fresh motor that has been put together correct, not at all.

If you were to pop the valve cover, remove the rockers, pull the pushrods, then you can remove the pushrod tubes that are leaking (in a fairly distructive fashion) and then install spring loaded tubes with new seals.

Racing a car doesn't include babying it. And babying the motor rev's will not make the pushrod seal leak any less.

My 2 cents.

If you pull the rockers off go ahead and check the heads bolts and torque them to spec if loose. You will not be able to get to the top ones but it's the bottom ones that tend to get loose. Just something I learned from my motor man. Another two cents.
